Stellima AI Policy

We at Stellima–which is mostly me, the great and amazing Vivian Sayan!–believe that when it comes to art and creativity, nothing can fundamentally replace the human spirit, for that spirit puts genuine emotions and feelings into all of its creations.

However, we believe that AI, just like all other tools that have been made in the last four decades to enhance the creative process, is a new tool that can be used to enhance human creativity–but not be a replacement for it.

It is, however, still a new tool, and we must continue to explore where and how it can be a tool of utility to help human creativity and where it becomes a soulless replicator of previous art. This is a field still being explored, and we at Stellima will continue to adapt our policy and views to the developments.

Right now, we use AI for some minor image generation only, and all AI-generated images will be clearly marked as such as we respect the human process of art. Most of the art is created by actual people, namely the incredibly artistic Anne Winchell and some by myself, the ever creative Vivian Sayan, or commissioned by even more talented people who will be directly credited next to each image.

If you wish to contribute to not using AI stand-in images, please consider supporting Stellima on Ko-Fi or Patreon. One of the first thing that funds will be used for in maintaining and improving the site will be replacing AI-generated images with artist renditions.

No text or writing on this website is generated by AI. It’s all human-written or alien-written.

AI generated image, seriously look at the robot’s 3 arms and an alien is sitting on nothing.
